SLINGSET® Regular (Single Path Polyester Round Sling) Code - SR

General Description
SLINGSET Round Slings are fabricated from a 100% Polyester yarns, wound continuously together in the form of an endless sling. The yard is protected by 100% polyester non load bearing tubular sleeve.

Performance
The outer sleeve, being entirely non-load bearing, serves both to protect and consolidate the polyester core yarn. The Round Sling flattens in use to provide a safe grip on the load. The unique monofilament weft gives longer service life due to greater resistance to wear and damage

Safety
The SLINGSET Round Slings is extremely light in weight and, even when dropped from a considerable height is most unlikely to cause injuries.

Similarly when swinging from a crane hook it will not cause the kind of head injuries commonly associated with heavier, traditional lifting tackle.

Having no metal components or splices, etc Round Sling will not cause any injuries to personnel.

The SLINGSET Round Slings has an elongation of only 3% at the Working Load Limit and 10 to 13% elongation at break
SLINGSET ® Webbing Sling (Single Path Eye & Eye Sling) Code - SW

General Description
SLINGSET Flat Webbing Slings are fabricated from a single length 100% polyester webbing, Slings ends are terminated either in a reinforced loop or in any combination of end fittings.

Performance

SLINGSET Webbing Slings offer a wide, flat, load bearing surface which is particularly valuable when lifting objects with soft spots.

Since there is no metal contact, the risk of damage to smooth or painted surfaces is negligible

Safety
The SLINGSET Webbing Slings is extremely light in weight and, even when dropped from a considerable height is most unlikely to cause injuries.

Similarly when swinging from a crane hook it will not cause the kind of head injuries commonly associated with heavier, traditional lifting tackle.

  • Patented K-Spec (Kevlar Spectra) fiber used instead of Polyester for core yarn
  • K-Spec fiber is only 20% the weight of polyester and only 5 % the weight of steel.

SLINGSET®Multi-Legged (Slings ideal for lifting large objects with multiple lifting points and an assymetrical center of gravity) Code SM

General Description: SLINGSET Multi-Leg Slings are manufactured using either Roundslings or Duplex Webbing slings, depending upon the type and the Safe Working Load.

Hooks, masterlinks and auxiliary links are manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel.

Duplex Slings are stitched directly onto the metal components, Roundslings being attached via auxiliary links.

All Roundslings are fitted with protective sleeving and anti-abrasion or anti-cutting protection can also be specspecified as required.

Safe Working Load Angles:

The Safe Working Load values quoted in the tables have been rated using the uniform load method for a maximum angle for each leg of 45 degrees from the vertical, as shown in the diagrams.

Slings may be rated at greater angles if required, please SLINGSET for further details.

The textile elementa of these Slings have a minimum safety factor of 7:1 and the metal elements a sefety factor of 3:1.

All Slings are serialised and issued with a test certificate.
